Connect Claude to TalentPrism

Give Claude secure, read-only access to your team's recruiting context through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Read-only by design. Claude can search and summarize records that belong to the TalentPrism team you authorize. It cannot edit candidate profiles, create or launch campaigns, send messages, place calls, or delete data.

Before you start

You need:

  • An already-provisioned TalentPrism account with membership in at least one recruiting team.
  • A Claude account that can use custom connectors.
  • Permission to add a connector. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner or Primary Owner must add it for the organization first.

TalentPrism public signup is disabled. If your company does not have an account yet, request access through the existing Book a Demo path.

Add TalentPrism to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Select +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter TalentPrism as the name.
  4. Enter this server URL: https://talentprism.ai/mcp
  5. If Claude asks for authentication, select Always required.
  6. If Claude asks for an OAuth client, select No client ID — register one automatically.
  7. Do not add a client secret, API key, or additional request header.
  8. Select Add, then Connect.
  9. Sign in to TalentPrism, choose the team Claude may read, review the requested access, and approve it.

Claude uses OAuth for this connection. You do not copy a TalentPrism password or API key into Claude.

Claude Team and Enterprise

An organization Owner adds the custom web connector under Organization settings > Connectors. Each member then opens Customize > Connectors, selects TalentPrism, and connects their own TalentPrism account.

Enable TalentPrism in a conversation

  1. Open a new or existing Claude conversation.
  2. Select the + button beside the message box, or type /.
  3. Open Connectors and turn on TalentPrism.
  4. Ask Claude: Show me which TalentPrism team is connected.

Claude's default Auto tool-access mode is suitable for most conversations. If you use many connectors, make TalentPrism always available for that conversation or name TalentPrism in your request.

What Claude can read

The connector currently exposes 17 team-scoped, read-only tools for:

  • Connection and authorized-team context
  • Job sequences and campaign summaries
  • Candidate and configured job-feed search
  • Candidate profiles, reminders, and conversation context
  • Campaign next actions and delivery issues
  • Interview lists, status, and non-sensitive metadata
  • Team or campaign metrics and activity summaries
  • Chat summaries and outreach drafts
  • Configured integration summaries without secrets

Every query is restricted to the team selected during authorization. Sensitive fields—including direct contact details, raw transcript or message content, recording links, and integration secrets—are masked or withheld.

What Claude cannot do

  • Update a candidate profile or add notes
  • Create, modify, launch, or stop a campaign
  • Send email, SMS, chat messages, or voice calls
  • Create or complete reminders
  • Read raw interview transcripts or open recording links
  • Delete records or change team settings

If Claude proposes one of these actions, it has not performed it through the TalentPrism connector.

Tips for reliable answers

  • Name TalentPrism in the request so Claude selects the connector.
  • Start with a list or search, then use the returned candidate, sequence, or interview ID in the next request.
  • Give a date range when asking about activity.
  • Ask Claude to include record IDs so you can verify the answer in TalentPrism.
  • Ask Claude to distinguish activity, recruiter work, candidate interest, and confirmed hiring outcomes.

Troubleshooting

Claude says the server is invalid or cannot connect

  • Use exactly https://talentprism.ai/mcp.
  • Do not add an API key or custom request header.
  • If the saved URL is wrong, remove the connector and add it again. Claude does not currently edit a custom connector URL in place.

Authorization succeeds but no tools appear

  • Open the conversation's + menu and confirm TalentPrism is enabled under Connectors.
  • Start a new conversation and ask for the connected TalentPrism team.
  • If tools still do not appear, disconnect TalentPrism under Customize > Connectors, then reconnect and authorize the team again.

You cannot sign in or choose a team

The connector only works for an existing, approved TalentPrism user who belongs to a provisioned team. Use Book a Demo if your organization needs access. If you selected the wrong team, disconnect and reconnect the connector to repeat team authorization.

Disconnect or revoke access

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, find TalentPrism, and select Disconnect. Disconnecting removes Claude's OAuth access. It does not change existing TalentPrism CLI API keys or other integrations.
